Summary: | Pardue worked at the Gardiner-Warring Knitting Mill (later the J. T. Flagg Knitting Company) in Florence in the mid-1930s. This scrapbook primarily documents Pardue's relationship with Roy Broadway, whom she married in 1937. It contains images of couples (mostly film stills of actors) cut out of newspapers and magazines; notes and letters from Roy and her friend Helen "Tiny" Angel; clippings from newspapers and "Knitting Yarns," a newsletter from the Gardiner-Warring Company; photographs; Christmas gift tags and cards for Valentine's Day and a birth announcement; and chewing gum and candy wrappers.
