Description
Summary:In the letter Pitchford mentions a plan he has developed to assist the unemployed during the winter. He has enclosed a copy of this proposal, which suggests that voters donate articles of food and clothing when they go to the polls for the November elections: "This entire organization would be absolutely free from politics for the organization would be personneled by both Republicans and Democrats looking forward to one purpose, and that is to the help of the unemployed in the State." The letter is written on the stationery of a local Democratic committee; on the back of the page is a list of Democratic candidates for November, with a heading that reads, "If You Are Tired of Hoover, Hunger and Hypocrisy Vote!"
