Letters from Helen Keller in Forest Hills, New York, to William Bankhead, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

In the letters, Keller discusses Bankhead's support of a bill promoting the purchase of products made by blind Americans. The legislation was passed, and the resulting Wagner - O'Day Act was signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 25, 1938.
