Diary kept by Carson Allen Woodruff while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Woodruff, a native of Mobile, Alabama, worked at the Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding Company before enlisting in the army in February 1943. He served in the 3rd Infantry Division in North Africa and Italy and was killed in the Battle of Anzio on February 17, 1944.
