Papers of Dr. William C. Cross, who served as a surgeon for several Confederate military units during the Civil War.
Among the units he served in were the 16th Alabama Infantry regiment, the 32nd Mississippi Infantry regiment, Wood's Brigade, and Cleburne's Division. Most of these documents deal with his military service.
