Senate Joint Resolution 85, calling for a joint meeting of the Alabama Legislature "to afford an opportunity to the women of the State . . . to express their views" on the proposed suffrage 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
The meeting was to be held in the House chamber of the Capitol in Montgomery at 10:00 a.m. on July 16, 1919.
