The main March for Our Lives event, which took place in Washington D.C. on March 24, 2018, was organized by students who survived the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Smaller marches were held around the world, including seven in cities around Alabama. In Dothan, demonstrators marched from Porter Park to Kinney Park.
