Description
Summary:They are holding signs that read, "Respect Our Rights"; "Jesus has 2 dads & turned out Fine"; "Honk for Equality"; and "It's the Law!" Albert Pigg and Keith Ingram are standing in the back. Equality Wiregrass, an LGBTQ advocacy group based in Dothan, held the event to encourage Judge Patrick Davenport to issue marriage licenses for all Houston County citizens. The demonstration began with a rally at the county probate office, followed by a march to the park. (Pigg and Ingram had been denied a license several times; they were eventually married on July 22, 2015.)
