Dedication ceremony for the Demopolis Lock and Dam.
The Demopolis Lock and Dam, which opened in 1954 and was completed in 1962. The system backed up the waters of the Tombigbee and Black Warrior Rivers, creating the 10,000-acre Demopolis Lake.
