Old Dallas County courthouse in Selma, Alabama.
Before its use as a courthouse from 1866 to 1902, the building had been a school and a Confederate hospital. It housed the Vaughan Memorial Hospital from 1911 to 1960, and was reopened as a historic and civic building in 1971. Its current name is the Joseph T. Smitherman Historic Building.
