Summary:(Uniform indicates rank of colonel.) Mexican War veteran. Commissioned as a lieutenant colonel in the 3rd Alabama Infantry at the outbreak of war. After promoting through the grades, Lomax was promoted to brigadier general in 1862. Major campaigns and battles include Seven Pines.
