Captain Robert M. Sands, Mobile Cadets.
The Mobile Cadets became part of Co. A, 3rd Alabama Infantry, C.S.A., during the Civil War. Sands was later promoted to lieutenant colonel. The photograph was taken in Norfolk, Virginia.
