Summary:The following description of the property was given at an Alabama Century and Heritage Farm Program recognition ceremony in November 2002: "The Sterling family originally acquired their farm in 1898. In the past the family has grown cotton, corn and timber they have also raised dairy cows. Currently the Sterlings raise cattle and grow hay and timber. There are several historical structures on the farm including a house built in 1925, two additional houses built in approximately 1930, a crib built in the 1920s or 30s and a barn built in the 1950s."
