Hanna Berger of Selma, Alabama, whose parents left Nazi Germany for the United States in early 1938.
Her parents first lived in New York before moving to Selma around 1939. In 1991, Louisa Weinrib of Montgomery interviewed Berger about their lives and her own experience growing up Jewish in the South.
