Sydney was the daughter of Herbert P. and Josephine Tresslar, and she married Leroy Franklin Catterson on October 2, 1926; her father was a photographer in Montgomery, Alabama, from about 1888 to 1926.She lived for many years in Iowa, and died in Montgomery, Alabama on March 29, 1984.
