description The following note accompanies the image: "Made 1903, a short time before graduation. The uniforms were two inches from the floor. The high stiff collars and long sleeves were worn summer and winter, along with three petticoats, a heavy corset, and other under clothes. The medical dictionary, in hand, was a graduation gift from Sister Agnes, the Sister Superior and hospital superintendent. As I left the hospital armed with it, a hypodermic syringe, thermometer, and the confidental [sic] feeling that I had the very best training, I felt that I was...equipped to go out and battle with any disease or accident, at any place, under any circumstances, in peace or war. I.C.S. 1950."
