Benjamin Dekalb Kelley and Samuel Alexander Reed, probably at a Confederate veterans reunion in Birmingham, Alabama.

During the Civil War, Kelley served in Company K of the 4th Alabama Cavalry, and Reed served in Company K of the 26th Alabama Infantry. Both men were buried in the Kelley-Tucker Cemetery in Walker County, Alabama.
