Easels and painting supplies were set up on the porch of the house, and the school yard also featured a bike course, sandboxes made of tractor tires, playground equipment, and a garden ("Emily's Garden") that the children tended.<br><br>Richard and Marge Payne founded the Kiddie Koop and later the Green Gate School in Montgomery. Marge was also the host of two television programs on WSFA in Montgomery: "For the Young," which aired in the 1950s, and "Young World," which began in 1971 and continued for 30 years. |
