Summary: | According to a note on the back of this photograph, this image came from the papers of Fanny Marks Seibels; another note, in a different handwriting, identifies the woman as Hettie. The identification of this image is unlikely, however. The photographic studio of Estabrooke and Naegeli was formed in 1879 but does not seem to have been in business past the 1880s (though the Edward Estabrooke and Albert Naegeli were still photographers in the city). Hettie Marks was born in 1887, and would therefore have been too young to be the woman in this photograph. |
