Elliott Priest Jones.
Jones served in the Alabama Senate from 1851 to 1858 and from 1865 to 1866. He was a delegate to the Alabama constitutional conventions of 1861 (also known as the Secession Convention) and 1865. He voted against the Ordinance of Secession and would not sign it.
