Thomas Butler Cooper of Cherokee County, Alabama.
Cooper was a delegate to the Alabama constitutional convention of 1865. He served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 1842 to 1853, from 1849 to 1852, from 1859 to 1861, and from 1863 to 1867; he was a member of the Alabama Senate from 1872 to 1876.
