East upstairs room of the John Johnson House (Johnson-Reeder house, "The Green Onion Place") on River Road, just west of the mouth of Town Creek in Leighton, Alabama.
Looking east-southeast. The house was built around 1825 for John Johnson from Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Though in ruins in this photograph, the structure is an important example of a Tidewater-type cottage. [AHC number CT-0024]
