Window detail of the John Johnson House (Johnson-Reeder house, "The Green Onion Place") on River Road, just west of the mouth of Town Creek in Leighton, Alabama.
The house was built around 1825 for John Johnson from Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Though in ruins in this photograph, the structure is an important example of a Tidewater-type cottage. [AHC number CT-0024]
