Osmond Kelly Ingram.

During World War I, Ingram served as a gunner's mate in the U.S. Navy. He was killed on October 15, 1917, when his ship was sunk by a submarine. He was the first sailor in the U.S. Navy to be killed in World War I. Kelly Ingram Park in Birmingham was named for him in 1932. Additional informatio...
