Gorgas Home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The house was built in 1829 and served as a dining hall, post office, and infirmary at the University of Alabama. It was one of only four buildings on campus to survive the Civil War. In 1879 it was given to the school's president, Josiah Gorgas, and his family lived in the house until 1953.
