| Summary: | The billboard reads, "Shoot to Kill / Hot Shot Insecticides." One of the men is holding a Confederate flag. James Meredith began the march on June 5 in Memphis, Tennessee, but was injured by gunshots shortly after setting out. He was not able to rejoin the march until June 25, the day before it ended in Jackson, Mississippi.
