Gravestone for Alex Davis in the Johnson-McDuffie Cemetery in Franklin, Alabama.
Davis was a formerly enslaved man and the gravestone was placed by the family who enslaved him. The stone is inscribed: "Uncle Alex. Erected by Hunter and John McDuffie as a token for him as an honorable man, and in appreciation of his loyalty and faithful service."
