Joey Brackner served as folklorist in residence at the Tuscaloosa County elementary schools at Buhl and Westwood in the fall of 1984. At the end of the semester, students brought in stories and artifacts pertaining to their family's heritage. This was funded by ASCA Arts in Education program.
