Henry "Red" Erwin with his family in their home at on 32nd Street in Ensley, Alabama.

Erwin, a native of Alabama, received the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1945 after saving the crew of his bomber by throwing a burning phosphoresce smoke bomb out the window of the plane.
