Albert Brewer with Frank Reed, recipient of the Audie Murphy Patriotism Award at the Spirit of America Festival in at Point Mallard Park in Decatur, Alabama.
Reed, director of the Lebanese International School in Beirut, was kidnapped on September 9, 1986, and held hostage until April 30, 1990. At the festival, Brewer also received a plaque, the Barrett C. Shelton Freedom Award.
