Lauderdale Red Cross officers / Also girl and dog / Meridian / At the annual meeting of the Lucedale County Chapter, American National Red Cross, the following officers were elected for 1966-67. From left, Paul Linnevold, first vice chairman; Don Edwards, second vice chairman; Joe C. Sanders, chairman; Mrs. W. S. Adler, recording secretary; Warren Ragland, third vice chairman; and Charles Curtis, treasurer. Mrs. Lena Scalco, not present, was elected fourth vice chairman. O. P. Brown, immediate past chairman, disclosed that to date the Red Cross has paid hospital and doctor bills amounting to $13,738.10 for 31 victims of the Mississippi tornado of March 3 who were treated at Meridian hospitals but were unable to meet this expense. Three of these patients have not been discharged, and the Red Cross has approved funds to pay for their continued treatment. / [Notes included] |
