Gail grinned as she hopped from the Delta Airlines plane at the Municipal Airport into the arms of her mother, Mrs. L. C. Fitzpatrick, of Woodlawn, and sorority sisters, who were on hand with red carnations from Delta Zeta at Howard College, where Gail was a student before going to Hollywood. In the group were Mary J. Whitten, Mary Ann Boswell, Thomasine Johnson, Marion McClendon, Louise Massey and Marjorie Orr."
