Description
Summary:Geo-cache search at Land Trust Huntsville and North Alabama / Geo-caching is a fairly new "sport" where participants use maps, compasses, and GPS tracking systems to find the coordinates of buried treasure. The Land Trust is sponsoring an event which will have up to 10 groups of people searching for "caches," which is what they call the buried treasure. The groups will leave front he Land Trust parking lot at 2 p.m., and they are planning on about a 3-mile hike. The event is scheduled to end at 4:30 p.m. The trust expects between 30-50 people to participate, and I'll probably go with one group and follow them until they find their "cache." / Norman Walker / Retired Rockwell engineer / makes maps of trails / [Notes included]
