Crane by the river at a paper mill in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, possibly the Gulf States Paper Corporation.

The crane was used to unload coal from barges on the river. According to a note on the negative sleeve, the mill used 200 tons of coal each day. (The image is damaged due to deterioration of the original negative.)
