Mrs. Frank Manfree, the sister of Sam Oddo, who had been murdered in his apartment in Bessemer, Alabama.
Mrs. Manfree found her brother's body more than a day after he had been shot to death. This photograph was published on page 2 of the Birmingham News on March 12, 1939.
