Stanford, the owner of the DeKalb Garment Company, is identifying a garment for Fambrough, an investigator on the case. On June 28, 1959, Viola Hyatt killed the Harper brothers, who lived in a trailer on her family's farm in Calhoun County. Before her confession, the case was known as the "Torso Murders," and the victims were called "Mr. X" and "Mr. Y." Hyatt shot both men in the face, and then cut off their arms legs before scattering their remains in St. Clair and Etowah Counties.
