Summary:Hyatt is holding a coat over her head, and Birmingham News report Don Brown is standing on the left. On June 28, 1959, Hyatt killed the Harper brothers, who lived in a trailer on her family's farm in Calhoun County. Before her confession, the case was known as the "Torso Murders," and the victims were called "Mr. X" and "Mr. Y." Hyatt shot both men in the face, and then cut off their arms legs before scattering their remains in St. Clair and Etowah Counties.
