Walter Bragg Smith Apartments at the corner of South Court and Clayton Streets in Montgomery, Alabama.
Dale's Penthouse Restaurant had been located on top of the building, but it was destroyed by a fire on the night of February 7, 1967. The fire, which killed 25 people, started in the coat room, likely from a discarded cigarette.
