The flier includes both the LCFO's panther and the Democratic rooster with its slogan "White Supremacy for the Right." The photograph was included in an article ("With independent slate Negro rights leader tries power play in Lowndes") that appeared on page 67 of the Birmingham News on April 27, 1966; it featured the following caption: "Black Panther Boss Wants Power / Stokely Carmichael hands out literature."
