The painting is set within framing art which shows a columns, a cross-section view of the interior, a floor plan, a brazier with flames and smoke, and a vase. In the upper left corner are two labels which read: "School of Architecture, Architectural Renderings, RG 457, Original Number 89" and "89." In the lower right corner is an artist's block which reads: "Thomas Howard Ell ..., Ala. Poly. Inst., Class "B" 1 project, Archaeology, A Circular Greek Temple." Part of the artist's name is torn away. Above the block there is an Alabama Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture stamp with the handwritten inscription "2nd Medal" in red and a red star. The painting is in fair condition except for the missing lower right corner where the artist's name is torn away, minor tears, and edge wear and is encapsulated.
